Dear Islamic brothers! It is not difficult to fulfil the rights of your neighbours. If Allah forbid, we face deprivation on the Day of Judgement, we will be in great loss. May Allah grant us the ability to fulfil the rights of our neighbours and all Muslims around us.

اٰمِیْن بِجَاہِ النَّبِیِّ الْاَمِیْن صلَّی اللہ عَلَیْہِ واٰلہٖ وسلَّم

3 actions that make you beloved to Allah and His Messenger

The Companion, Sayyidunā ʿAbd al-Raḥmān رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ narrates:

One day, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم performed wuḍū. Out of love for him, the Companions began to rub the remaining water upon their bodies, seeking to acquire its blessings.

“What has caused you to do this?”, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم asked. The Companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ replied, “Love of Allah and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ” (i.e. O Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ! You are beloved to us. You are the peace of our hearts. We love even the water that comes into contact with you, and this is why we are rubbing it upon our bodies).

Hearing this answer, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم declared, “Whoever wants to love Allah and His Messenger, or have Allah and His Messenger love him, should be truthful when he speaks, be trustworthy when entrusted, and be good to his neighbour.”  [1]

Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān Naīʿmi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه comments on this hadith by saying:
