enough to acquire the love of Allah and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم .

To love Allah and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم , one must obey their commands.

These three actions (always speaking the truth, fulfilling trusts and behaving well with neighbours) are the root of correctness in all affairs. This is why the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم mentioned these three actions in particular. Muslims who correct their affairs will find it easy to correct their acts of worship. Speaking the truth, fulfilling all trusts and conducting oneself well with neighbours are hugely important.

A large number of Muslims fall short in acting upon these three things. Many offer salah and perform ḥajj, but truthful members of the ummah are few.[1]

May Allah grant us the ability to become truthful Muslims.

Be patient if your neighbour is troubling you!

O devotees of the Messenger! We must never cause our neighbours any harm. Also remember, if (Allah forbid) your neighbour is giving you trouble, you must remain patient. Imam Ḥasan Baṣri رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه said in regard to this, “Establishing good relations with your neighbour does not only imply that you do not harm them. Rather, it entails that if they are bad to you, you adopt patience.”[2]
