Points regarding neighbours:

Dear Islamic brothers! Bringing the speech to an end, let us have the honour of listening to some points regarding neighbours extracted from a booklet named The Test of Judgement Day, written by the Amir of Ahl al-Sunnah دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ.

Let us first listen to two hadith of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم :

1.   The best neighbour in the sight of Allah is he who wishes well for his neighbour.[1]

2.   He who troubled his neighbour troubled me, and he who troubled me displeased Allah.[2]

*   As written in Nuzhat al-Qāri: “Every person figures out who his neighbour is in accordance with his customs and norms.”[3]

*   Imam Muhammad Ghazāli رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states, “From the rights of the neighbour is to greet him with salaam first, to not converse with him for a lengthy time, and to not ask too many questions about his affairs.”
