The Greatest and Final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was in our home when my mother called me and said she would give me something. The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم asked her, “What do you intend to give him?” She answered, “I will give him a date.” The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “If you do not give him anything, it will be recorded as a lie."[1]
