Sayyidunā Abū ꜤAbd al-Raḥmān Ḥātim Aṣam Balkhi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states, “We have heard that the liar will be transformed into a dog in Hell, the one who is jealous will be transformed into a pig, and a backbiter will be turned into a monkey.”[2]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers, this narration is a warning for people who lie, backbite, and feel jealousy when their Muslim brothers receive blessings. Lying may grant you success in this temporary world, but it will be a cause of nothing but regret in the grave and the Hereafter. We cannot bear the pain of a toothache in this world, so how will we tolerate the pain of having our jaw ripped apart in the Hereafter? The one who cannot endure an insect bite in this world, how will he endure punishment in the grave? Sometimes, the liar is punished in this world as well as the Hereafter.
A man once stole money from his cousin, but the cousin caught the thief in Masjid al-Ḥarām and told him to return the stolen goods.
