Book Name:Jhoot Ki Tabah Kariyan
If goodness can be acquired through lying but not by telling the truth, there are some scenarios in which lying is permitted, and even necessary:
1. An oppressive man wishes to kill or harm someone innocent, and because of this, the victim is hiding somewhere. If the oppressor asks you for his location, it is permissible to lie even if you know where he is.
2. If you are entrusted with a possession and someone asks for its location because he wishes to steal it, it is permissible to claim you do not have it.[1]
3. Likewise, it is permissible to lie in order to reconcile between two Muslims. An individual can go to one of them and say the other thinks good of you and praises you. Then he can go to the other and say similar things to end the enmity between them and make them reconcile.
4. Similarly, it is permissible to lie for the purpose of pleasing your wife.[2]
