The consequence of eating an unowned date
Dear Islamic brothers, truthfulness is from the greatest of human qualities. The one who speaks the truth always succeeds through its blessings. On the other hand, the one who lies is constantly moving here and there. The truthful one is given the ability to thank Allah Almighty, but if the wish of a liar is not fulfilled, he begins to complain.
Truth becomes the sign of a person’s high aspirations, positive mindset, righteousness, piety, and patience. On the other hand, lying causes a person to become distant from Allah Almighty. In today’s speech, we will hear about the harms of lying, and the virtues and blessings of truthfulness.
Let us hear an account in this regard.
A man went to the Greatest and Final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and said, “I want to accept Islam, but I love drinking, immorality, stealing and lying, and people tell me you have declared these actions forbidden. I am not capable of abandoning them, but if you are content with me only abandoning one of these actions, I will accept Islam.”
The Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم replied, “Do not lie.”
