turn to Allah Almighty. The Almighty states in verse 135 of Sūrat Āl-ꜤImrān:

And those who, when they commit an (act of) indecency or wrong themselves, whilst remembering Allah, seek forgiveness of their sins; and who can forgive sins except Allah? And they should not knowingly persist with what they have done (i.e. sinning).[1]

These are the righteous servants of Allah Almighty. When they happen to commit a sin and wrong themselves, they remember Allah Almighty; they repent and seek forgiveness; and they do not knowingly remain obstinate in their wrongdoing.

And what does the one who adopts these qualities receive? Allah Almighty says:

The reward of such is forgiveness from their Lord and gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding in them forever; what an excellent reward for the doers of good deeds.[2]
