mobile, or owning a grand house. However, this is not the case. Allah Almighty states:

مَنْ کَانَ یُرِیْدُ الْعِزَّۃَ  فَلِلّٰہِ  الْعِزَّۃُ جَمِیْعًا

Whoever desires honour, so (he should know that) all honour belongs to Allah.[1]

All honour belongs to Allah Almighty. He grants honour to whomever He wills and disgraces whomever He wills. So, come to His blessed door, lower your head, repent from your sins, and plead in His court: “O Allah Almighty! I, the one who was distant from You, have come to You; accept me. Shower Your grace upon this sinful servant of Yours.” A person should do this whilst sincerely and remorsefully repenting for his transgressions. This is the true way of attaining honour. Bow your head here and see! Allah Almighty will definitely bless you اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.

First step on the path to Allah Almighty

The scholars state that the path to Allah Almighty has many steps, such as the station of chastity, the station of ascetism, the station of poverty, the station of patience, the station of trust, the station of contentment, and many more. However, the first step for the one who wishes to travel the path to Allah Almighty, is repentance.[2]

It is from the immense generosity of Allah Almighty that He has left the door of repentance open forever. No matter where we are in our lives, even if we are drowning in sins and have committed sins that reach the skies, we can change the direction of our lives. We should submit ourselves before Allah Almighty and repent.
