instance, he should write a message detailing that he shared a post on such-and-such day which had a mistake in it, and that the correct ruling is such and such. Furthermore, he should say that he therefore retracts his statement and repents for his mistake.

The best way forward is for us to get anything we wish to share approved by an Islamic scholar. An even easier solution is to go to the Gallery Section on Dawat-e-Islami’s website: www.dawateislami.net. This contains Islamic posts that have been verified by muftis, so you can download these and share them. Similarly, there is a section named Public Service Message. This contains short Islamic videos, which can also be shared on social media for the purpose of gaining reward.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

It is as though one did not commit a sin

Dear Islamic brothers, we heard the account of Sayyidunā Abū Hurayrah رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, which contains an important message: no matter how great of a sin a person commits, if he expresses regret and turns to Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty will accept his repentance. The Greatest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

اَلتَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ کَمَن لَّاذَنْبَ لَہٗ

The one who repents from sin is like the one who never sinned.[1]
