Sincere repentance is an easy good deed.
The final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم explained:
اَلتَّائِبُ مِنَ الذَّنْبِ کَمَنْ لَّا ذَنْبَ لَــــہٗ
He who repents from sin; it is as though he did not sin.[1]
The fortunate individual who repents not only has their sins forgiven but attains a host of other excellences.
Allah says in the 8th verse of Sūrah al-Taḥrīm:
یٰۤاَیُّہَا الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا تُوْبُوْۤا اِلَی اللّٰہِ تَوْبَۃً نَّصُوْحًا ؕ عَسٰی رَبُّکُمْ اَنْ یُّکَفِّرَ عَنْکُمْ سَیِّاٰتِکُمْ وَ یُدْخِلَکُمْ جَنّٰتٍ تَجْرِیْ مِنْ تَحْتِہَا الْاَنْہٰرُ ۙ
O you who believe! Turn to Allah in sincere repentance such that there is no return to sin. It is near that your Lord will erase your sins and make you enter Gardens beneath which rivers flow,[2]
Dear Islamic brothers! There are only three conditions for sincere repentance:
(1) First is to consider sin being an act of disobeying Allah and feeling regret for this.
