degree, and also guides us to act upon the Sunna. Being a part of this pure environment is a means of blessings in both worlds.^[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dua to be recited when afflicted by evil eye

As per the schedule of Dawat-e-Islami’s weekly Sunna-inspired gatherings, we will memorise a dua. This week, we will learn the dua we can recite when we are afflicted with evil eye.

بِسْمِ اللہِ اَللّٰھُمَّ اَذْھِبْ حَرِّھَا وَ بَرْدَھَا وَ وَصَبَھَا

In the name of Allah! O Allah! Remove its heat, cold, and affliction.”^[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Method of collective accountability (72 pious deeds)

The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, “Pondering ˹over the Hereafter˺ for a moment is better than 60 years of worship.”^[3]

Let’s make good intentions before filling in the Pious Deeds booklet:

1.    To please Allah, I will hold myself to account through the Pious Deeds booklet and encourage others to do the same.

2.    I will praise (i.e. thank) Allah Almighty for the pious deeds which I practised.
