saint of Allah Almighty is referred to as a karāmah (saintly marvel).^[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Brief introduction to Imam JaꜤfar al-Ṣādiq رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه

Dear Islamic brothers! Imam JaꜤfar al-Ṣādiq رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه is the great grandchild of Imam Husayn رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ. He met two great companions, Sayyidunā Anas b. Mālik رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ and Sayyidunā Sahl b. SaꜤd رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ. Therefore, he is a TābiꜤī with a great rank.^[2] He is a Ṣiddīqī from his mother’s lineage (i.e., from the lineage of Sayyidunā Abū Bakr al-Ṣiddīq رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ), and a Husaynī Sayyid from his father’s lineage.^[3] His name is JaꜤfar, his teknonym is Abū ꜤAbdullāh, and his title is al-Ṣādiq.^[4] Al-Ṣādiq means the one who speaks the truth. He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه never told a lie, and this is why al-Ṣādiq is his title.^[5]

Lying is the greatest ailment

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! Dear Islamic brothers! Imam JaꜤfar al-Ṣādiq رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه possessed a high rank and he always spoke the truth. If only we are granted the ability to always tell the truth and despise the sin of lying. Unfortunately, lying is so rife in our society that people lie unknowingly regarding every matter. Lying is an evil ailment. Imam JaꜤfar al-Ṣādiq    رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه said, “There is no greater provision for a journey than piety, there is no enemy more harmful than ignorance, and there is no illness more severe than lying.”^[6]
