O people! Indeed, there has come to you sincere advice from your Lord and a cure for what is in the chests;[1]

Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān NaꜤīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه comments:

The Quran is a means of spiritual nourishment granted to Allah’s servants. It cures all the diseases of the heart, such as ignorance, doubt, polytheism, hypocrisy, false beliefs, bad character, jealousy, hatred, greed, love for the world, and malice.[2]

The Quran is a cure

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! Just as the Quran is a cure for spiritual diseases, it is also the best treatment for physical illnesses.

Allah declares:

وَ نُنَزِّلُ مِنَ الْقُرْاٰنِ مَا ھُوَ شِفَآءٌ وَّ رَحْمَۃٌ لِّلْمُؤْمِنِیْنَ ۙ

And We reveal in the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the people of faith;[3]

ꜤAbdullāh b. ꜤAbbās رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُمَا explained: "The Quran cures every illness."[4]
