*     A person reciting the Quran shall ascend the ranks of Paradise as they continue reading.^[1]

May Allah bless us with true love for the Quran and grant us the ability to act upon it.

اٰمِیْنْ بِجَاہِ خاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ

The virtues of iʿtikāf

Dear Islamic brothers! اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه! In the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami, thousands of locations worldwide host collective iꜤtikāf. This is an excellent way to avoid sins and spend Ramadan engaged in worship. You should also try to participate in collective iꜤtikāf for the full month of Ramadan or at least the last ten days!

The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “Whoever, seeking to please Allah, performs one day of iꜤtikāf, Allah shall place three trenches between him and Hellfire, each wider than the distance between the East and the West.” ^[2]

Lady ꜤAishah Ṣiddīqah narrates the following hadith:

مَنْ اِعْتَکَفَ اِیْمَاناً وَ اِحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَہٗ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِہٖ

Whoever performs iꜤtikāf with faith and intending to earn reward, their past sins will be forgiven.^[3]

In another hadith: “Whoever performs iꜤtikāf for ten days in Ramadan; it is as though they performed hajj and umrah twice.”^[4]
