He was very generous and would never let anyone go empty handed. He was very compassionate towards the poor and the destitute, he would sit with the weak people and inquire after the ill people. If any one of his companions did not show up one day, he would inquire about his wellbeing. He would honour those who stayed with him and observe a great conduct towards them.
If he saw them in a state of worry, he would remove their worries. Each of those who stayed with him considered himself to be the closest to him. Every night, he would ask for the dinner mat to be spread and he would have dinner with the guests.
Whenever he would receive a gift, he would distribute it between the attendees. He would accept the gift and give something in exchange for it. He would never show anger for his own self. (Bahjat-ul-Asraar, pp. 199-201, selected)
His silence was longer than his speech. (Qalaaid ul-Jawahir, p. 6)
He would be first in saying Salam. He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه never stood out of honour for the leaders and rich people, and neither did he go to the doorsteps of the ministers and kings. (Qalaaid ul-Jawahir, p. 19, selected)
Dear Islamic brothers, you heard how our Ghaus-ul-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه had such noble habits. If only! Our habits and characters also become good for the sake of Ghaus-ul-A’zam رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه. If only we also begin to act in accordance to the booklet ’72 pious actions’. If only! We also attain the mind-set of serving the creation of Allah. If only we too become kind, compassionate and hospitable. May Allah Almighty make us generous too. May we also help those in need and show compassion to the poor and destitute.
If only we too were given the ability to sit with the weak people and have the mind-set of inquiring after the sick people. If only we get the ability to stay in contact with the brothers who do not attend the Masjid for offering Salah, and those who are deprived from participating in the Madani activities such as the weekly Sunnah-inspired gatherings and the Madani Muzakarahs etc.
If only we become like those who honour their Islamic brothers, show them good conduct and remove their worries. If only we can abstain from getting
