Sidrat al-Muntahā, and (5) upon Rafraf from Sidrat al-Muntahā till the station of قَابَ قَوْسَین.[1]

The stages of the Mirāj Journey

ꜤAllāmah Shihāb al-Dīn Maḥmūd al-Baghdādī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states:

From Bayt al-Maqdis until his arrival at the station of قَابَ قَوْسَین, the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم traversed ten points: (1) the first heaven (2) the second heaven (3) the third heaven (4) the fourth heaven (5) the fifth heaven (6) the sixth heaven (7) the seventh heaven (8) Sidrat al-Muntahā (9) at Mustawā, where the Prophet                       صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  heard the sounds of the divine pen writing, and (10) the glorious Throne (ꜤArsh).[2]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Witnessing Paradise

Dear Islamic brothers, just as the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم   witnessed many other great signs of Allah Almighty, another special aspect of this blessed journey was that he also saw one of the greatest signs of Allah Almighty with his own eyes: Paradise and the bounties present therein. Let us listen to what the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم   saw there.

A grand heavenly palace

The fourth Caliph of Islam, Sayyidunā Alī bin Abī Ṭālib رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that the second Caliph of Islam, Sayyidunā ꜤUmar bin al-Khaṭṭāb رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُsaid to the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, “O Messenger of Allah
