اِنَّا لِلّٰہ Parhnay Ki Barkatein

Book Name:اِنَّا لِلّٰہ Parhnay Ki Barkatein

اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَ اِنَّااِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُوْن at the time of calamity, Allah Almighty removes his worry, grants him a good outcome, and grants him such a substitute which he will be pleased with.” [1]

It is narrated in a Hadith that: When a person is afflicted with a calamity, and in accordance to Allah’s command, he recites اِنَّا لِلّٰهِ وَ اِنَّاۤ اِلَیْهِ رٰجِعُوْنَ, (and then supplicates with the words:) اَللّٰہُمَّ أَجُرْنِیْ فِیْ مُصِیْبَتِیْ وَاَخْلِفْ لِیْ خَیْرًا مِّنْہَا, which means, “O Allah Almighty, reward me in this calamity of mine, and grant me something better in place of it,” Allah Almighty will grant him something better in its place. [2]

Muftī Aḥmad Yār Khān NaꜤīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes in commentary of this Hadith that:

This is a proven practice. It can be recited when someone passes away or when something is lost; if one has hope of finding the lost item, they should recite till “رَاجِعُوْنَ”, but recite it in full if they have no hope of finding it. However, it is necessary that whilst these words are on one’s tongue, one’s heart should be in a state of patience. [3]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Recite اِنَّا لِلّٰہ upon every calamity!

People generally think that اِنَّالِلّٰہ should be recited upon the death of a person, and if a person says اِنَّالِلّٰہ on another occasion, people become
