Book Name:اِنَّا لِلّٰہ Parhnay Ki Barkatein
granted to the previous prophets, it would have certainly been given to Sayyidunā YaꜤqūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم, as upon being separated from Sayyidunā Yūsuf, he عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم said:
یٰۤاَسَفٰی عَلٰی یُوْسُفَ
“Alas! My sorrow for Yūsuf!”[1]
(If this utterance was granted to him, he would have certainly recited: اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَ اِنَّا اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُوْن .)[2]
Virtue of reciting اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ when struck by a calamity
If we say اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ at the time of hardship, what reward will we receive for this? Allah Almighty states:
These are the people upon whom there are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And these very people are the rightly guided.[3]
Meaning, by being patient in the face of calamities and reciting اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ, they are granted 3 bounties:
1. Allah Almighty will send ṣalawāt upon them (which means, their sins will be forgiven, they will be granted special blessings, and they will be granted honour in this world and the Hereafter)
2. Allah Almighty will shower His mercy upon them
