Remaining pearls of wisdom relating to visiting the sick
* Go to the sick person and ask how he is feeling, and supplicate for his health and wellbeing.
* Request him to supplicate for you, as the supplication of an ailing person is not rejected.
* When the appropriate moment arises, give the call to righteousness to the sick person, particularly in relation to punctuality in prayer, as many people who usually offer prayer become heedless during illness.
* Do not sit with the ill person for too long and do not speak loudly. However, if the ailing person expresses his desire for you to remain for a longer time, then fulfil his request, if possible.
* It is a commendable thing to bring gifts for the unwell person, but do not avoid visiting them in the case of not having a gift because you are worried about what they will think if you go empty-handed. You should still visit, even if it is empty-handed, as not doing so will result in missing out on reward.
