اِنَّا لِلّٰہ Parhnay Ki Barkatein

Book Name:اِنَّا لِلّٰہ Parhnay Ki Barkatein

3.   Thirdly, these people will be on complete guidance in this world and the next.[1]

They will be on guidance in this world through attaining closeness to Allah Almighty in every state (meaning, through being grateful in times of ease, and being patient in times of hardship). In terms of the Hereafter, some earn Paradise through doing good deeds, and others are saved from Hell by avoiding sins, but the people who are patient and say اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ at the time of hardship, they will be successful in gaining the pleasure of Allah Almighty.

Wearing nice clothes upon the death of his son

Sayyidunā Thābit al-Bunānī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates that the son of the righteous tābiꜤī, Sayyidunā Muṭarrif رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه passed away and he was wearing nice clothes and had applied oil even at that time (it is obvious that a person’s child passing away is a major event, yet Sayyidunā Muṭarrif رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه displayed immense patience). The people said to him, “Your son has passed away, yet you have applied oil and are wearing nice clothes.”

He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه replied, “Should I show a lack of spirit (meaning, impatience)? Allah Almighty has promised me 3 favours for being patient, and each of these favours is more beloved to me than the entire world. Allah Almighty states:” [2]
