Book Name:اِنَّا لِلّٰہ Parhnay Ki Barkatein
attain success in that test is not by creating a commotion and complaining about our problems, but through having patience and being content with Allah’s decree.
Let us understand what it means to be patient. Allah Almighty states:
الَّذِیْنَ اِذَاۤ اَصَابَتْہُمْ مُّصِیْبَۃٌ ۙ قَالُوْۤا اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَ اِنَّاۤ اِلَیْہِ رٰجِعُوْنَ (۱۵۶)
Those who, when a calamity befalls them, say, “We only belong to Allah and to Him alone we shall return.”[1]
سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! These are those who are truly patient. Those who when they are faced with hardships or worries, they do not complain, rather they say: اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَاِنَّا اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُون, meaning, “Indeed, we only belong to Allah, and to Him alone we will return.”
اِنَّا لِلّٰہ is an exclusivity of this ummah
Dear Islamic brothers! This beautiful statement of “اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَ اِنَّا اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُون” has immense blessings. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated, “My ummah has been granted something for the time of calamity that has not been granted to the previous nations, and it is the utterance ‘اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَ اِنَّا اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُون’.”[2]
It is mentioned in Tafsīr Rūḥ al-MaꜤānī:
This Ummah has been granted such a thing for when calamity strikes that was not given even to the previous prophets, and it is the statement ‘اِنَّا لِلّٰہِ وَ اِنَّا اِلَیْہِ رَاجِعُون’. If this utterance was to be
