causing the entire earth to light up. Each of his hairs had a lamp attached to it, and his companion did not have one lamp, but four. Seeing this, I asked, ‘Who is this?’ The reply came, ‘This is Muhammad b. ꜤAbdullāh صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.’”
Whilst both individuals were speaking among each other regarding this dream, the esteemed TābiꜤī, Sayyidunā KaꜤb al-Aḥbār رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, who was an expert scholar of the Torah, heard what they were saying, and he asked, “What is this that you are speaking about (meaning, did you read this somewhere or hear about it)?”
The one relating the dream replied, “No. This is not something I have read or heard about, it is a dream I saw last night.”
Sayyidunā KaꜤb al-Aḥbār رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ remarked:
وَ الَّذِیْ بَعَثَ مُحَمَّدًا بِالْحَقِّ اِنَّہَا لَفِیْ کِتَابِ اللہِ
“By the One who sent Muhammad as a true Prophet, [you have seen this in a dream, but I have read the same as] it is indeed in the [previously revealed] Book of Allah.”[1]
سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! Such is the greatness of our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. From this we learn that the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is light and a possessor of light, and according to the explanation of Sayyidunā KaꜤb al-Aḥbār رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ, it was written in the previous heavenly books that he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is that light through which the entire earth is illuminated.
Dear Islamic brothers! Our Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is a light, and this is mentioned in the Holy Quran too. Allah Almighty states in verse 15 of Surah al-Māˈidah:
