And it is near that your Lord will certainly grant you so much that you will be pleased.[1]
The fourth Caliph of Islam, Sayyidunā ꜤAlī b. Abī Ṭālib رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said: When this verse was revealed, the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم declared:
إذًا لَا أَرْضٰی وَوَاحِدٌ مِنْ أُمَّتِيْ فِي النَّار
“If this is the case, then I will not be pleased even if one member of my Ummah remains in the Fire.”[2]
It is mentioned in a narration of Musnad Imam Aḥmad that the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم revealed:
أَشْفَعَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَدَدَ مَا عَلَى الْأَرْضِ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ، وَمَدَرَة
“On the Day of Judgement, I will intercede for more people than the number of trees and clods on the earth.”[3]
Two names of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, which have been mentioned in the Torah and Injīl: (1) Akhrābā (meaning, the first Prophet), and (2): Qadmābā (meaning, final Prophet). Sayyidunā MuṣꜤab b. SaꜤd رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrates:
Sayyidunā KaꜤb al-Aḥbār رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ said, “On the Day of Judgement, the final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم will be the first to open the gate of Paradise.” He then recited a verse of the Torah as proof for this, which contained the words Akhrābā and Qadmābā. He mentioned, “The meaning of Akhrābā is first, and the meaning of Qadmābā is last.”[4]
