Asmani Kitabon Mein Naat e Mustafa

Book Name:Asmani Kitabon Mein Naat e Mustafa

اللہ! اللہ! The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم came to break musical instruments, so how shameful would it be if his Ummah now made, played and listened to musical instruments. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه This Ummah is not one which listens to musical instruments, rather the Torah mentions that this Ummah is the Ummah which is Ḥammād (praises Allah Almighty in abundance).[1]

We should act in accordance to how we have been described. We should leave songs and musical instruments. Those who would listen to them previously should repent, and in their place, they should praise and glorify Allah Almighty. They should remember Him by His beautiful names, they should recite the Holy Quran, recite praises of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and do righteous actions. If we do this, it will improve our life in this world and the Hereafter.

We heard the praise and description of the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم that was mentioned in the previous heavenly books, so we come to know from this that celebrating the Mawlid, meaning, speaking about the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, publicising and listening to his qualities and characteristics, is totally permissible. In fact, this is the way of Allah Almighty, as He spoke to His Prophets about the beloved Prophet              صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, which they listened to, recited and then informed their respective nations about.

اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه! We also speak about him and listen to his mention, and announce his arrival, which is what Mawlid refers to. This makes it clear that celebrating the Mawlid is permissible.

However, we must remember that whilst we do commemorate the Mawlid, before this, we are people of prayer, so we must offer prayer too. Let us listen to a narration regarding this:

The second Caliph of Islam, Sayyidunā ꜤUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ once said to Abū ThaꜤlabah, who was a scholar of the Torah, “Tell me
