for the one who displays more warmth when meeting and asks about his brother’s well-being in a better manner.[1]

2.    When two friends meet, shake hands and send ṣalāt upon the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, their past and future sins are forgiven before they separate from one another.[2]

*    When two Muslims meet each other, it is sunnah for them to give the greeting of salām and greet using both hands.

*    Give salām when leaving too, and you can also shake hands.

*    When shaking hands, if possible, recite this supplication after sending ṣalāt upon the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم: یَغفِرُ اللہُ لَنَا وَ لَکُم (meaning: May Allah Almighty forgive us and you).

*    Whatever supplication two Muslims make at the time of shaking hands, will be accepted. They will both be forgiven before their hands separate.[3] اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
