There is nothing but blood left in our cups.”

Firawn ordered the Egyptians to share water with the Banī Isrāˈīl, from the same utensil. Whenever the Banī Isrāˈīl took water out, it remained water. But, when Egyptians drew from the same utensil, it turned into blood. When desperately thirsty Egyptian women asked their Banī Isrāˈīl  counterparts for water, it would turn into blood as soon as it entered their cups.

The Egyptian women then asked the women of Banī Isrāˈīl  to take water into their mouths and spit it into theirs. Yet, the turned to blood as soon as it reached them.

Firʿawn’s himself had intense thirst and tried to drink the sap of fresh trees, but even that turned into blood as soon as it reached his mouth.

For seven days, they had nothing to drink but blood. Once again, they requested Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم to pray and promised to believe. The esteemed prophet of Allah did so and this calamity was removed, but still, they did not believe.^[1]

Encouragement for Pious Deed 7

Dear Islamic brothers! The most valuable thing a Muslim has is his faith. This means, we should all worry about protecting and preserving it, more than anything. One amazing way to do this is giving bayʿa to a real shaykh. اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه The Amir of Ahl al-Sunna, Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ, is a real saint and shaykh of our times. He himself makes people murīds of Shaykh ʿAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlānī رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه.
