Pearls of wisdom from hadith

Dear Islamic brothers! Let us have the honour of listening to two hadith and learning from them.

1.   The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم declared:

Whoever memorises forty hadith related to religious matters and conveys them to my nation; Allah shall resurrect him as a jurist, I shall intercede for him on the Day of Judgement, and I shall bear witness for him.[1]

2.   Allah’s Messenger صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم also announced, “May Allah keep preserved the person who hears my hadith, memorises it, and conveys it to others.”[2]

*    Hadith (ḥadīth) refer to the words, actions, state, and confirmations of the Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.[3]

*    Learning knowledge of hadith is farḍ kifāya. If this knowledge is not found anywhere in the Umma, the entire Umma is then sinful.[4]
