When the stone was brought to be placed upon her, she prayed to Allah Almighty by saying, “O my Lord! Make a home for me in Paradise!”
Allah Almighty showed to her the home she has in Paradise, made from white pearls. He then took her soul and she passed away. When the stone was placed upon her, she felt no pain, as her soul had already departed. Ibn Kaysān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه voiced the opinion she was lifted alive into Paradise, where she eats and drinks.[1]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
O those who love Allah’s Messenger! From this story, we learn that enduring trials and tribulations in the path of Allah Almighty is common practice for His chosen servants. As we just heard, after embracing faith, a righteous servant of Allah Almighty was severely persecuted by her accursed husband. Yet, how steeply admirable her patience, steadfastness, and faith were! She endured extreme hardships and even sacrificed her life, but did not forsake her faith.
Islamic brothers and sisters who are given problems by their families for following the Sunna and being associated with a religious environment, or those who have accepted Islam and encounter similar family-related issues; they should all take solace, hope, and comfort from Lady Āsiya’s story.
They should face the trials that come their way with patience and determination, without losing heart. Additionally, they should sincerely pray to Allah Almighty for help. One should not think, "Why am I being troubled when I have wronged no one?" Similarly, some ignorant people may even utter words of disbelief.
Think about it: Did Lady Āsiya’s wrong anyone? And what about our Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم? Whom did he wrong? Nobody at all. Yet, he faced untold levels of injustice and hardship, such that simply
