Let us begin with an introduction to who he is.
A brief introduction to Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم
The name of Mūsā’s father was ʿImrān, and he hails from the descendants of Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم. He was born 400 years after the passing of Yūsuf عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم and 700 years after Ibrāhīm. He lived for 120 years. [1]
The name of his mother was Yūḥanadh, whose lineage can be traced back to Lāwī b. Yaʿqūb. Allah Almighty inspired her, either through a dream, an angel, or ilhām. He declared:
Give milk to Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم. When you suspect neighbour may find out, begin to complain, and cause Firʿawn to come and kill him, place him in the River Nile of Egypt without any fear.
Do not worry of him drowning or suffering harm. Do not be grieved in separation from him. We shall return him to you and make him one of the messengers.
After this, Yūḥanadh nursed Mūsā عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم for a few days. During this time, he did not cry or move in her arms, and only his sister was aware of his birth.
