Trade and The Noble Companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ
Dear Islamic brothers! If we look at the lives of the noble companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ, we will see nothing but piety, righteousness and the desire to seek the pleasure of Allah. Sayyiduna Qatādah رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ states that the noble companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ would trade. If they were faced with a right of Allah, their trade would not stop them from remembering Him, such that they would fulfil the right.[1] Mentioning the same very conduct of the companions, Allah Almighty states in the Quran:

Sayyiduna Ibn MasꜤūd رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ saw traders leave their goods as soon as they heard the call to prayer, and stand for salah. Then he said that Allah Almighty revealed the verse “رِجَالٌ ۙ لَّا تُلۡہِیۡہِمۡ” regarding them.[3]

They would leave their work and prepare to offer the prayer as soon as they heard the adhān. They would trade to earn halal sustenance, but would protect themselves from dishonesty, lying and deceit.
Therefore, we must follow the example set by our pious predecessors and leave all our work when it is time to pray. Furthermore, we should
