Miscellaneous Madani Pearls Regarding the Etiquettes of the Quran

*   Wrapping and keeping the Quran in a covering and a box is a sign of respect. This action has been performed since the time of the companions and the generation after them رِضْوَانُ اللّٰہِ عَلَیْہِمْ اَجْمَعِیْن.[1]

*   It is also from the etiquettes of the Quran to not: turn your back to it, point your feet towards it, raise your feet higher than it and be at a higher station than it.[2]

*   If you accidently drop the Quran or it falls down from the shelf, it is not a sin nor is there any expiation for it.

*   If someone مَعاذَ الـلّٰـه throws the Quran on the floor with the intention of disrespect, or places his foot on it with a similar intention, then he will become a disbeliever.
