prepared as witnesses against us, and the Angel of Death is waiting to take our souls).
Third is he who wildly laughs when he does not know if Allah is pleased with him or not.[1]
The Quran states:
مَنۡ کَانَ یُرِیۡدُ الۡعَاجِلَۃَ عَجَّلۡنَا لَہٗ فِیۡہَا مَا نَشَآءُ لِمَنۡ نُّرِیۡدُ ثُمَّ جَعَلۡنَا لَہٗ جَہَنَّمَ ۚ یَصۡلٰىہَا مَذۡمُوۡمًا مَّدۡحُوۡرًا (۱۸)وَ مَنۡ اَرَادَ الۡاٰخِرَۃَ وَ سَعٰی لَہَا سَعۡیَہَا وَ ہُوَ مُؤۡمِنٌ فَاُولٰٓئِکَ کَانَ سَعۡیُہُمۡ مَّشۡکُوۡرًا (۱۹)
Translation: Whosoever desires this world, We hasten for him in it whatever We will for whomsoever We will; then We have made Hell for him, wherein he will burn, condemned ˹and˺ rejected. And whosoever desires the Hereafter and strives for it as one should while he is a believer too, then these are the very people whose efforts will be valued.[2]
O seekers of Paradise! We must decide whether we want this world or the Hereafter. Every Muslim desires Paradise and its heavenly bounties. We all want to experience everlasting comfort therein. If we want this, we must prepare for it by turning away from the world and trying our absolute best to please Allah!
We can prepare for the Hereafter by thinking about it. You may have experienced in your life, that you only do certain things you are interested in or focused on. Sometimes you abandon important tasks when you do not pay proper attention to them; so, you forget them.
