Book Name:Faizan e Imam Hasan Basri
“Whoever writes ṣalāt upon me in a book; angels will continue to seek forgiveness for him for as long as my name remains in that book.”[1]
Dear Islamic brothers! Before listening to the speech, let’s first of all make intention to please Allah and gain reward. The final Prophet of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, نِيَّةُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ عَمَلِه - “The intention of a Muslim is better than his action.”[2]
Regarding righteous actions, the more good intentions we make, the more reward we attain.
Intentions for listening to the bayān
1. Lowering my eyes, I will listen to the speech attentively.
2. Instead of resting against a wall, etc., I will sit respectfully as long as possible, with the intention of showing respect for Islamic knowledge.
3. I will refrain from laziness and not paying attention during the speech.
4. I will take what I learn from the speech and convey it to others.
