Faizan e Imam Hasan Basri رَحمۃُ اللہِ عَلَیْہ

Book Name:Faizan e Imam Hasan Basri رَحمۃُ اللہِ عَلَیْہ

Without doubt, the righteous slaves of Allah harbour immensely high ranks. Allah bestows them with special statuses and grants them closeness to Him. He also gives them ability to perform saintly miracles, by His divine permission.

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! There are many points we can take from the story we have just heard and many things we can implement in our lives. Through Imam Ḥasan al-Baṣrī’s رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه saintly miracle, the well water rose to the surface. As soon as one person slightly waivered in certainty by storing some of it for later, the water in the well began to lower again. We learn that not having trust in Allah is a cause of deprivation.

We should place our trust in Allah and strengthen our certainty in Him. It is He who gives rizq to all of creation, and it is He who shall certainly give us the same. It is He who granted us food in the morning, and He shall certainly grant us food in the evening. It is He who fed us when we were just infants, so He shall certainly feed us when we are old. We must place our trust in Allah and hope for nothing but the best.

Allah states in the Quran:

وَ مَنۡ  یَّتَوَکَّلۡ عَلَی اللّٰہِ  فَہُوَ حَسۡبُہٗ ؕ

And whosoever places his trust in Allah, then He is sufficient for him.[1]

Two hadith regarding trust in Allah

As narrated by Umar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ; the final Prophet of Allah

صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “If you were to trust Allah as is His right to be trusted, you would be granted sustenance in the manner birds are. They leave hungry in the morning and return with a full stomach in the evening.”[2]
