The Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّـلَام at the Farewell ajj

A hadith in Saḥīḥ Muslim describes how the Companion Ibn ꜤAbbās  رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُمَا said:

This convoy under the leadership of the Greatest and Final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was travelling from Madinah al-Munawwarah to Makkah al-Mukarramah, and along the way they came across a valley called Azraq.

The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم asked, “Which valley is this?”

“The valley of Azraq,” it was said.

He صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then said, “I see Musa, a Prophet of Allah, with his fingers over his ears and crossing this valley whilst reciting talbiyah.”

Sayyiduna Ibn ꜤAbbās رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُمَا then mentioned they went ahead until reaching a mountain pass.

The Greatest and Final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم asked, “What is this place?”

“O Messenger of Allah!”, the Companions said, “This is the Harshā pass.”

The Greatest and Final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “I see Yūnus, a Prophet of Allah, riding a red camel. He is wearing a woollen garment, the camel’s rein is made of date palm bark, and he passing by whilst reciting talbiyah.”[1]

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه What can be said about the excellence of the Prophets             عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّـلَام! Mufti Aḥmad Yār Khān NaꜤīmī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه said regarding this: “As this was the final ḥajj ever performed by the Greatest and Final
