rewards for reciting one letter of it. As the Quran is the source of guidance for all Muslims, acting upon it is a means of success in both worlds.
But remember, to act upon it we must first learn to recite it correctly, learn it, and understand it. It is unfortunate that most of us are gradually moving away from reciting, learning, understanding, and acting upon the Quran.
Our Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:
خَیْرُکُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْاٰنَ وَعَلَّمَہ
The best of you are those who learns the Quran and teaches it.[1]
Regarding how much of the Quran it is necessary to know, Imām Aḥmad Razā Khān said, “One must learn enough tajwid to allow for clear differentiation between each letter. This is a personal obligation (farḍ Ꜥayn). Without this, salah is categorically invalid.”[2]
اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه Thousands of madrassas of Dawat-e-Islami, which are known as Madrassa-tul-Madinah, are undertaking this religious task. You are also requested to register your children at Madrassa-tul-Madinah, so that they can learn to recite the Quran with correct pronunciation, become righteous, and become a means of continuous charity (ṣadaqah jāriyah) for you.
