Sunnas and manners of adornment

Dear Islamic brothers! Let us listen to some Sunnas and manners of adornment:

*    It is haram for a woman to take human hair and attach it to her head. Hadith stipulate curse for a woman who does this, and the one who attaches human hair to another woman’s head has also been declared cursed.[1]

*    Even if the hair being used belongs to that woman, it is still impermissible.[2]

*    It is permissible for woman to attach a hair extension of woollen or black thread to her head.[3]

*    It is permissible to pierce the nose and ears of a girl.[4]

*    Some people pierce the ears of boys and place earrings on them; this is impermissible. Meaning, piercing their ears is impermissible and so too is placing jewellery on them.[5]

*    It is permissible for women to apply henna to their hands and feet. It is not permissible to apply henna to the hands and feet of young boys, but it is fine for girls.[6]
