continue until the Day of Judgement. This is the blessed personality whose praise has no end. If his praise has no end, then we learn that his qualities also have no end!

Even if the ocean became ink!

Allah states in the Quran:

قُلْ لَّوْ کَانَ الْبَحْرُ مِدَادًا لِّکَلِمٰتِ رَبِّیْ لَنَفِدَ الْبَحْرُ  قَبْلَ اَنْ تَنْفَدَ کَلِمٰتُ رَبِّیْ وَ لَوْ  جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِہٖ  مَدَدًا (۱۰۹)

Say, ˹Dear Beloved Prophet,˺ “If the ocean were ink for ˹writing˺ the words of my Lord, the ocean would run out but the words of my Lord would not finish, even if we refilled it with another ˹ocean˺.”^[1]

Quranic commentators have differed over what کَلِمَات means in this verse. Shaykh ꜤAbd al-Ḥaqq Muḥaddith Dihlawī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه writes:

According to research scholars, the meaning of the Lord’s کَلِمَات is our Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Thus, the meaning of the verse will be: If the water of the ocean became ink and all the pens in the world began to write the qualities of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with this ink; even if it was refilled with the same amount, the ink would eventually finish but the qualities of the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would never end.^[2]
