Book Name:Imam e Azam Ki Mubarak Aadatein
Allah announced:
وَ عَلَّمْنٰہُ مِنْ لَّدُنَّا عِلْمًا (۶۵)
and whom We had taught knowledge from Our Court.[1]
So, we understand that the knowledge of Khiḍr عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم is ꜤIlm Ladunnī (a special knowledge bestowed directly by Allah). Since Imām Abū Ḥanīfa was also granted a share of this knowledge, it follows that his knowledge is also ꜤIlm Ladunnī.
The splendid Abū Ḥanīfa
Musaddad b. ꜤAbd al-Raḥmān رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates:
I used to think Abū Ḥanīfa was the worst of people. I was then blessed to see the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in my dream. "O Messenger of Allah!”, I exclaimed, “There is a man in Kufa they call NuꜤmān b. Thābit. What do you declare regarding him? Should I seek knowledge from him?"
The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم then announced, “Learn from him and follow his actions (emulate his character and life).” He also declared فَنِعْمَ الرَّجُلُ ہُوَ “What a splendid man Abū Ḥanīfa is!”
When I awoke, I repented for harbouring a negative opinion about Abū Ḥanīfa.”[2]
