Book Name:Imam e Azam Ki Mubarak Aadatein
Once, someone borrowed 10,000 worth of gold or silver coins from him. This was likely a poor individual who could not repay the loan even after the agreed deadline.
One day, as Imam Abū Ḥanīfa رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was walking, he saw the same man approaching. The man panicked and changed his path to avoid him. However, the street he entered was a dead end.

Hearing this, Imam Abū Ḥanīfa said, “Can 10,000 ever be worth distressing a Muslim's heart? Go, I have forgiven your debt.”[1]
