Book Name:Mola Ali Aur Fikr e Akhirat
demolish your home in this temporal realm.[1]
Dear Islamic brothers! This is beautiful advice. This does not imply that we leave our homes and live on the streets. It means we must not attach ourselves to the temporary pleasures of the world and focus on the Hereafter instead.
Sayyiduna ꜤAlī once said during a speech:
O slaves of Allah! Remember death! There is nobody who can escape it. Even if you run, it will catch you. It has you gripped by the forehead and salvation is in acting quickly.
The grave is a hasty seeker always following you. Listen! The grave is a garden from the gardens of Paradise, or a pit from the pits of Hell. The grave says every day, “I am a place of darkness, and the home of horror and insects.” After the grave, there is a day more intense than any other. On that day, children will become old, and the old will lose their senses.
Allah states:
every nursing woman will become oblivious to her suckling child, and every pregnant woman will miscarry her child, and you will see the people ˹as though˺ intoxicated and yet, they will not be intoxicated. However, the punishment of Allah is most severe.[2]
After the grave, there is a day more severe than any other. Hell
