صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! The Battle of Badr is a significant event in Islamic history that occurred on the 17th of Ramaḍān. Allah declared this great day as Yawm al-Furqān (یَوْمُ الْفُرْقَان) - the day of differentiating between truth and falsehood. 313 Muslims fought against an army of over 1000 disbelievers during Ramaḍān.
Despite this, the Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم displayed great strength and courage. They were persecuted by the disbelievers of Makkah who tried to eradicate Islam from the world. The disbelievers had money, power, and individual strength, but when faced with the Companions’ spirit of faith, their wealth and might were useless.
Allah granted the Muslims a great victory that made the difference between truth and falsehood clear.[1]
Also, the Prophet’s beloved daughter, Lady Ruqayya رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهَا passed away on the 19th of Ramaḍān. She was ill when the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم departed for war. Her burial was taking place right when news of victory reached Medina.[2]
اَللّٰہُ اَکْبَر Despite the illness of his daughter, the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم made a great sacrifice for the sake of Islam and fought in Badr.
