Nafarmani Ka Anjam

Book Name:Nafarmani Ka Anjam

اللہُ اَکْبَر! This verse informs us of how disobedience causes turmoil to appear on earth. It causes famine, droughts, the destruction of crops, the outbreak of disease and other problems.

Animals curse the disobedient

Sayyidunā Mujāhid رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states: “When famines and droughts become severe, the animals curse the disobedient and say, ‘This famine is due to the sins of people.’”[1]

O devotees of the Prophet! Ponder how humans are the most noble creation, and animals are inferior in many ways. However, when humans sin and exceed limits, even animals speak ill of them. What greater disgrace could there be? This shows how the disobedient no longer possess this nobility; they fall from the status afforded to humans and into a deep pit of disgrace.

Punishment in the grave

O devotees of the Prophet! Disobedience leads to disgrace in this world, the grave and the hereafter. Allāmah Ibn Ḥajar al-Makkī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states:

When I was young, I would recite the Quran at my father’s grave regularly. On one occasion, during Ramadan, I offered Fajr Salah and immediately went to the cemetery. Nobody was in the cemetery except for me. I sat next to my father’s grave and began reciting the Quran. After a short time, I heard the sound of crying. I listened carefully and realised the noise was coming from a white, luminous grave that was nearby. I stopped reciting and heard the sound of someone being punished in the grave. When the day began, the noise vanished.

When people began to enter the cemetery, I asked one of them as to who was buried in that grave. He told me it was so-and-so.
