Book Name:Nafarmani Ka Anjam
So, we should repent sincerely from our sins today, abandoning disobedience and living our lives obeying Allah Almighty and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم .
The Companion Sayyidunā Abdullah bin ꜤAbbās رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ states:
O sinners! Why do you not fear the outcome of sins? Searching for the opportunity to sin is more severe than the sin itself. Being shameless before the angels who record your deeds and persisting in sin is a great sin. Being pleased and laughing after committing a sin is greater than the sin itself. If a swift gust of wind causes the drape to move from your door whilst you are sinning, you become scared, but the thought of Allah Almighty watching you does not frighten you. You do not know how Allah Almighty will deal with you.[1]
Imam Muhammad al-Ghazālī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه states:
Look at your spiritual state! Your heart is surrounded by many beasts. Anger, lust, malice, jealousy, pride, self-love and ostentation are all beasts. You do not feel the pain of their attack in this world, but the veil will be lifted in the grave. You will see these beasts. You will see how your sins appear and surround you in the form of snakes and scorpions. In reality, these evil traits and immoral habits are dangerous beasts that are with you. However, you will only see their terrifying appearances in the grave. It is better to kill theses beasts before death overcomes you! Abandon sin![2]
