*    The fast of the fasting person will be an expiation for his past sins.

*    Allah Almighty will distance the fasting person’s face from Hellfire by 70 years.[1]

The foolish person who abandons an obligatory fast of Ramadan, without a reason validated in Islam, is a grave sinner and deserving of punishment. According to narrations, if a person abandons a fast of Ramadan without a compelling reason approved of in Islam, he will be unable to acquire the virtue of that missed fast, even if he fasts his entire life.[2]

May Allah Almighty, for the sake of His beloved صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, protect us from His displeasure and wrath, and grant us the ability to keep all the fasts of Ramadan with enthusiasm.

اٰمین بِجاہِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Some virtues of itikāf

Dear Islamic brothers, اَلْحَمْدُ للّٰہ in the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami, collective iꜤtikāf is organised in thousands of locations throughout the world. IꜤtikāf is a great means of avoiding sins and spending Ramadan in performing pious deeds. Make an intention now to participate in iꜤtikāf for the whole of Ramadan or at least the final ten days.

The Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated, “Whoever performs one day of iꜤtikāf for the sake of Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty will place three trenches
