between him and the Hellfire; each trench is greater than the distance between the east and west.”[1]

Sayyidatunā ꜤĀˈishah رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهَا said:

مَنْ اِعْتَکَفَ اِیْمَاناً وَ اِحْتِسَابًا غُفِرَ لَہٗ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِہٖ

“Whoever performs iꜤtikāf with faith and whilst seeking reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.”[2]

In one Hadith, it is stated, “Whoever performs iꜤtikāf for ten days is like the one who performed hajj and umrah twice.”[3]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                    صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers, visiting the graveyard on this night for admonition is a practice of the Muslims. Bringing the speech to its conclusion, let us listen to points related to visiting the graveyard.

Some points about visiting the graveyard

Two Prophetic statements:

1. Visit the graves as they are a cause of turning away from the world, and they remind one of the Hereafter.[4]

2. Whoever visits the graves of both parents every Friday or the grave of one of them will be forgiven and recorded as righteous.[5]
