Book Name:Shair e Khuda Ka Zuhad

The world is temporal and the Hereafter is everlasting

O devotees of the Messenger of Allah! This is the reality. The world is finite, and will soon come to an end. Here, however much enjoyment you have, however much wealth you gather, you will eventually have to face your end, and leave this world emptyhanded. We all know this, but, alas! The love of wealth and these ephemeral delights of this world have become embedded in our hearts. If only, instead of chasing this world, we became seekers of the Hereafter.

Allah Almighty states:

Dear Beloved Prophet,˺ say, Shall I relate to you something better than ˹all˺ that? For the righteous, with their Lord, there are gardens beneath which rivers are flowing, they will reside therein forever. [1]

Meaning, O Messenger of Allah Tell people! Shall I inform you of something better than worldly wealth, silver, gold, trade, orchards, excellent modes of transport and luxurious homes? Listen! That is the abode of proximity with Allah Almighty, i.e., Paradise. In it there is milk, honey, and flowing rivers of pure beverages. This Paradise is for the pious, and they will dwell in it forever.[2]
