Sunnahs and etiquettes of iꜤtikāf
Dear Islamic brothers! Come, let us gain the blessings of hearing some pearls of wisdom concerning the Sunnahs and etiquettes of iꜤtikāf.
Firstly, note the following two blessed statements of the beloved Prophetصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:
1. Whoever performs iꜤtikāf with faith and seeking reward, all his previous sins will be forgiven.[1]
2. Whoever performs ten days iꜤtikāf in Ramadan, it is as though he performed two Hajj and two ꜤUmrahs.[2]
IꜤtikāf in the last ten days of Ramadan is an emphasised Sunnah of sufficiency; if everyone abandons it, they will all be held accountable, and if one person fulfils it, all of them will be absolved of the responsibility. [3]
Apart from iꜤtikāf due to a vow or the emphasised, Sunnah iꜤtikāf, all other iꜤtikāf is recommended. Neither will fasting be a condition for it
