Sunnahs and etiquettes of itikāf

Dear Islamic brothers! Come, let us gain the blessings of hearing some pearls of wisdom concerning the Sunnahs and etiquettes of itikāf.

Firstly, note the following two blessed statements of the beloved Prophetصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:

2. Whoever performs ten days itikāf in Ramadan, it is as though he performed two Hajj and two Umrahs.[2]

Itikāf in the last ten days of Ramadan is an emphasised Sunnah of sufficiency; if everyone abandons it, they will all be held accountable, and if one person fulfils it, all of them will be absolved of the responsibility. [3]
