Hadith. The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “اَلْاَنْبِیَآءُ اَحْیَاءٌ فِیْ قُبُوْرِہِمْ یُصَلُّوْنَ” The Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ وَالـسَّـلَام are alive praying in their graves.^[1]

The correct belief proven by the noble Quran and sunnah is that the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is alive in his grave. In fact, all the noble Prophets عَـلَـيْـهِمُ الـصَّلٰوةُ    وَالـسَّـلَام are alive in their graves, receive sustenance and travel wherever they please. May Allah grant us the ability to learn and remain firm upon the correct Islamic beliefs, and may He protect us from satanic whispers.

اٰمِیْنْ بِجَاہِ خاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن صلَّی اللہُ عَلَیْہ ِوَاٰلِہٖ وَسَلَّمَ

Increased Worship

Dear Islamic brothers! Every moment of the beloved Prophet’s life is a great example for us, including the final days of his blessed life. Here are some narrations regarding it:

*    When the beloved Prophet’s صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم apparent passing drew near, he صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم increased his worship.

*    Every year during Ramadan, the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم recited the entire Quran once with Sayyidunā Jibril عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم. During the final year of his life, the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم recited the entire Quran twice.

*    The beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم performed iꜤtikāf in the final ten days of Ramadan every year. In the final year of his life, the beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم performed iꜤtikāf for 20 days and performed an abundance of dhikr and istighfār.
